Ambassador at Louisiana State University at Alexandria
Class of 2028
Hometown: Alexandria, LA
Major: Professional Aviation
I chose LSUA because it truly feels like home. Everyone here treats you like family. It’s a tight-knit community where you’re not just another student. LSUA also offers several specialized programs you won’t find at other universities in the state, so I knew I could stay close to home without sacrificing opportunities.
My favorite spot on campus is behind the science building. There’s a quiet little pond surrounded by small wildlife, and it’s the perfect place to relax, study, or take a breather between classes.
My advice to new students is simple: get involved. LSUA has so many ways to plug in—clubs, events, programs—and once you find your people and what makes you happy, everything else falls into place.
My favorite professor is Mr. Bill Blackburn, my aviation instructor. He brings so much real-world experience into the classroom and makes every lesson practical and exciting. He’s one of those teachers who genuinely wants his students to succeed and will go the extra mile to ensure that they achieve their goals.
