Being an incoming college student can be challenging and scary but if I had any advice to give to an incoming freshman it would be to get involved and to learn good study habits and have good time management. Getting involved on campus helps you create new friends as well as create bonds with professors and staff of LSUA. Learning good time management and good study habits is also key to be the best student you can be.
Choosing a college to attend after high school was also a challenge but I knew LSUA was the place I wanted to be for many reasons. My mom graduated from LSUA and always had positive things to say about LSUA. LSUA was also close to home and affordable for my family and me. Although those are great reasons to choose LSUA, the most important reason was because LSUA was a smaller campus and I knew that would be better for my education. I knew I would sit in classrooms with less students, I knew I would create bonds with my professors and I knew overall, that would have a positive impact on my education. Everyday I spend at LSUA is proof that I picked the best university for me and I wouldn't have it any other way.
I have enjoyed all of my time at LSUA, but the highlight of my college experience at LSUA has been becoming an LSUA ambassador. People have always told me getting involved is a key role in being a college student but I never believed them until I became a part of such an amazing organization like LSUA ambassadors. It truly is my favorite thing to do during my time at LSUA.
