My advice to incoming students would be not to overload yourself. It’s easy to think a lot of the time that you’re not doing enough, but more often than not you are. Do not take yourself for granted, and know that the work you’re doing will pay off in the future, and that there are going to be a lot of rough times in college that everyone will go through, but ultimately they will pay off whenever you receive your degree, I would also say enjoy the journey.
The highlight of my college experience has really just been not a single event, but rather in accumulation of spending time with my best friend at numerous events on campus, but also just in every day on campus activities.
I chose LSUA, because not only both of my parents were alumni, but it also fitted my needs perfectly. I love the very close community vibes and atmosphere everywhere around campus. I also love how personable you get to be with those around you, including your professors. That level of closeness that you get at LSUA simply isn’t available anywhere else and truly enhances the overall educational process greatly.
My favorite LSUA professor is Dr. Allen. There never has been and likely never will be a dull moment with this character of a chemistry lab professor. He is extremely dedicated to his job and also incredibly intelligent, not only this, but he is the most wildly hilarious person you will ever meet in your life.
