AVIA 1001 with Professor William Blackburn. The way he taught kept me interested and guided me through my first year of the aviation program with motivation to keep on going and never quit. His stories and experiences kept me engaged in the material and I enjoyed showing up for it every morning.

Meeting new friends and people that I call family! LSUA is a community where I feel welcomed by all no matter where I am. The ability to go out to any event and be able to see people that you have connections with is amazing.

My advice to incoming students is...

Get involved! College life and the experience is way better when you have friends to be with. They go through the same struggles as you and they will remind you that you are not alone in this!

I wanted to become a pilot and LSUA had just started an amazing program for aviation that I knew I needed to be a part of! The classroom setting was much like my high school, so I was not overwhelmed when I got here.
